Our Belief

We firmly believe in Sir J. D. Rockefeller’s above quote. That’s why when we saw and felt the lives of the tribal communities, residing just a few kilometers away from our own Badlapur city, lagging behind the lives of common priviledged people, we knew they had to be helped in the truest sense and not by just donating some clothes and groceries. Sure the tribal communities do need help. And we want to transform these communities so that they become independent of our help. That’s the true upliftment and empowerment of the tribals.

Basically, What do we do?

Lakshya Foundation is implementing projects to empower adivasi communities, in around 15 adivasi villages, through its different strategies and campaigns for the livelihoods development, educational improvement, policy in practice and environment protection with people’s participation.
We advocate for the empowerment of scheduled tribes by continuously mobilising adivasi communities. The core areas of the Lakshya Foundation are Right to Education, Right to Land, Right to Forest Resources, Right to Livelihood and Right to Survival.

WHAT We Do: Empower Tribal Communities.
WHY We Do It : By bringing sustainable improvements to the lives of indigenous tribal communities, we want to empower these marginalized and underserved tribal communities to overcome poverty, illiteracy, disease and exploitation; and gain access to opportunities, thereby enabling them to take rightful place in the mainstream of the country.
HOW We Do It : Investing in education, health and employment generation for our focus group. We encourage people to be a helping hand in our mission by volunteering, donating and spreading awareness about our several campaigns. After all, it’s our collective responsibility to bring every person in the society to the equal level.
Lakshya Foundation’s mission is to network human, informational and financial resources for the advancement of Tribals– the indigenous people of India.

Making a Meaningful Impact

Through our collective efforts, Lakshya Foundation has touched the lives of thousands within tribal communities. From revitalizing schools to supporting dropout students in their educational journey, our impact resonates far and wide. Our healthcare camps have provided essential medical services to around 1000 individuals, while cataract surgeries have restored vision and brought back the joy of sight to 27 tribal people. Together, we illuminate paths and create lasting change.

“I am Vijay Chavan, and I joined Z.P. School Nambarwadi in September 2006. At the time, the school faced challenging conditions. Thanks to Lakshya Foundation, headed by Shri. Shirish Patil and his dedicated colleagues, we received invaluable support that has made a significant difference.
With their efforts, the school underwent a beautiful transformation, with vibrant paint and improvements. The village of Nambarwadi is very remote, and we lacked regular electricity supply, leaving our school in darkness. However, Lakshya Foundation replaced the roof with a transparent sheet, allowing natural light to brighten our classrooms, and remarkably reducing the electricity bills.
Their continuous support has been a game-changer for us. Nambarwadi is the most remote wadi in the taluka, with a 100% tribal population. Lakshya Foundation consistently works to enhance the educational environment of both the school and the village.
