How 8 cycles initiated the transformation of tribal families, and eventually a village!!!

In a remote tribal village, nestled amidst lush forests, where educational opportunities are limited, a transformative journey begins. Lakshya Foundation, along with Synechron Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Pune, is scripting a story of change in Lavhali, one of the 27 tribal villages in our focus group list.

The village, known for its picturesque landscapes, was plagued with the lack of quality education. The anganwadi and Z.P. School, responsible for educating the village’s children up to the 5th grade, stood in ruins, witnesses to years of neglect.

Enter Synechron Technologies, a corporate entity with a heart. Collaborating with Lakshya Foundation, they embarked on a mission to transform the Z.P. School into an education haven. The result? A school that’s not just repaired and renovated but also infused with inspiration.

The impact was immediate. The once-dreary school has become a hub of learning and hope. The student body has surged, demonstrating that the allure of knowledge transcends challenges when presented in the right environment. Here’s the remarkable part – two children from a convent school chose to transfer to this school, an ode to the difference the transformation has made.

As the school caters to students up to the 5th grade, the need for continued education looms. The existing situation is far from ideal. To receive further education, students have to travel 3 kilometers to the nearby tribal village, Belpada. Their journey involves a 1-kilometer walk to the main road, and from there, they rely on government buses or passing vehicles. Sometimes, in the absence of transportation, they are compelled to walk the entire distance, a daily struggle.

Understanding these daily hardships, Lakshya Foundation took up the cause. Synechron Technologies stood in solidarity and provided eight cycles, a seemingly simple but profoundly impactful gesture. These cycles are not just modes of transportation; they are instruments of empowerment.

These cycles shorten the journey to knowledge, reduce dropout rates, and open up new horizons for the young students. They symbolize a sense of independence and self-reliance, qualities that are essential for their holistic development.

This initiative is just one of the many outcomes of the partnership between Lakshya Foundation and Synechron Technologies, and it underscores a shared commitment to education, empowerment, and transformation. As we move forward, we envision a future where more children have access to quality education, where no obstacle is too big to overcome, and where partnerships like this continue to make a lasting impact.

During the cycle distribution program, Mr. Hitesh Thakare, the secretary of Lakshya Foundation, delivered a speech that echoed with gratitude and hope. He thanked the partners, especially Synechron, for believing in the vision and making it a reality.

The cycles were handed over to eight deserving students on October 1st, 2023. Mr. Shirish Patil, Chief Trustee of Lakshya Foundation, stressed the need and impact of these cycles in the lives of these students. He urged donors to consider contributing cycles, emphasizing that one cycle can uplift one family. He emphasized about the power of collaboration in creating a brighter, more equitable future for all.

With the partnership of Synechron Technologies, Lakshya Foundation is scripting a brighter, more equitable future for these deserving children. It’s a journey of empowerment, a story of hope, and an embodiment of the change that can be achieved through collaboration.

Join the Cause: In the hands of a child, a cycle represents freedom, opportunity, and a brighter future. It’s not just a mode of transportation; it’s a key to empowerment. As we celebrate this partnership and the impact of cycles, we call upon everyone to consider donating cycles, whether new or used. One cycle can uplift an entire family, transforming lives in these remote tribal villages.
